Political essays and commentary on the state of Liberty in the world and the state of the United States of America. Big Flush Toilet takes it’s name from the ironic legislation in America where the people of this country- the champions of liberty - do not have the liberty of controlling the size of the flush volume their own toilets use (more about that here).
The last time a restriction on liberty of this magnitude was thrust upon the people of the American Colonies, the Harbor in Boston became a giant tea pot.

I love freedom – the ultimate of which is found in a relationship with the person of Jesus Christ. This country was founded by people who to one extent or another, believed that as well. This country was founded on the sweet notion of individual Liberty, a word I find so significant, that I capitalize it. Liberty- to live as I will and think as I will, and ultimately be allowed to discover the truth – freedom in mind, body, and spirit. You may not believe as I believe, and that is the beauty of it – you don’t have to. But you do not have the right to abrogate my right to believe as I desire. You may believe that you have the right to restrict my rights – but the moment you try it, you have crossed the only line that a truely free system of government has.
Liberty, freedom: they do not mean freedom from danger, or freedom to have housing or healthcare or food, no. Liberty is the freedom to be able to pursue your own personal happiness however you perceive that, without abrogating anyone elses absolute right to do the same.
