Australia has just mandated a nationwide “firewall”filter – ostensibly to block child porn…but already they are now blocking other sites such as euthanasia sites, anorexia sites, etc. (See footnotes for links)

Now, I am utterly against child porn, and I am not for euthanasia, and anorexia either, however if someone wanted to research euthanasia or anorexia they would be blocked.  After this system is in place the government will be able to do exactly the same thing that China has routinely done: censor anything it does not like.

Now, Australia is an ally of ours.  Do you think that an Obama administration would not be willing to do the same thing?  They are practically doing it now as you see how the left leaning liberal media fawning all over the place for Barry, while Chris Matthews gets “shivers of ecstasy up his leg” – the fact is we who disagree and love Freedom and Liberty will be censored…well, they will try to censor us.

What these people don’t remember is that the Internet was created (not by Al Gore) but by garage based industrialists, college professors, and experimenters… You don’t think we can rebuild those networks of phone-line based bulletin boards, except that we could use cell phones and PGP encrypted protocols so that governments can neither block OR decrypt the communications?  And there are many other ways as well. I am utterly against child porn and any variety of disgusting and illegal activities – and we should persecute those specific individuals engaged in that activity – but to punish everyone through the means of censorship is wrong!  It is the duty of freemen and free-women everywhere to Fight (work in the legal channels to change the anti-liberty laws), Subvert (create methods to get around the anti-liberty laws as I suggested above), and finally if necessary Disobey any such restrictions of Liberty.
