With the latest news of markets crashing and bank failures, many people – especially those who think with emotions instead of logic – are thinking perhaps Barack Obama and his big government socialist platform is the way to go. People who use logic and reason, of course know that neither choice is that good, but Barack is certainly the worst.
At least with McCain, we get Palin, who believes in individualism and Liberty – at least her rhetoric and most of her work as Mayor and Governor demonstrate this. McCain, on the other hand has a dangerous amount of socialistic tendencies unfortunately, and while his dedication to country is both honorable and commendable, he unfortunately seems to be willing to compromise with those who’s intentions are not.
With Obama and Biden it is clear that we will be getting more intrusive and nanny-state government in every area of our lives. This means that we the people either conform to governmental edicts or we become it’s adversaries with the real possibility of becoming labeled as criminals – because we want to live free and refuse to go along with a socialistic government.
It is quite possible that Thomas Jefferson’s mandate that we the people have a duty to change or abolish a government that is no longer by and for the people. This is spooky territory in our day and age, as what this would entail is hardly known. But it most certainly won’t be an easy task – lets hope it does not get that far.
But the moment that the right to free speech and association is curtailed, that will be the moment that real patriots need to fight this government, to stand against it, to do whatever is necessary to abolish it. For at that point, the government of the United States of America will have gone too far to be saved.
What this means for us is a clear choice. Barack Obama will set his sights to destroy our country by growing the government into a monster that cannot be controlled in any way, except by the elites who will proclaim themselves our rulers. McCain will not do this purposely, although unless he takes a course similar to Reagan to shrink the government (and do it even more than Reagan) then he will just slow the progression.
The bottom line for those of us who are reasoning human beings is to prepare for the worst – to have real money (gold, silver, platinum, coins, etc.), food, and shelter. To pay for what we have and not buy what we don;t actually need. And to be able to defend ourselves against thugs of “any” kind (read into that what you will).
The liberals, the lazy, those who depend on government for everything… they will be the ones who will become the rabid mobs of raiders in the scenario where the country is on fire – for the do not think, and do not prepare. They are the ones you will need to be able to defend yourselves against. That is worst case. I hope it does not come to that, but only the prepared survive when the worst case is reality.
