This was sent to me by an old friend,and it is so good that I decided to post it as is.  It really says it all!

Facing our Fathers

They are going to do it. Never you mind that 90% of the people of the US do not want a bailout package. Speaking figuratively, Americans are running through the town square with torches and pitchforks. Our government has effectively given us the finger, looked down their noses at us, and said, “Go back to work, peon! We know what is best for the country and we will do as we please.” What’s worst of all is that they have done this for YEARS! Yet, whenever election time rolls around we listen to the talking heads on television, radio, and the newspaper and let them form our opinions *for* us. Election after election, we wonder why we get the same scum-sucking losers time and time again!

I am stunned. I shouldn’t be, because I’ve seen this coming for awhile. I sit here and wonder how we could have fallen this far. We sit on our butts and shake our heads at the latest cocaine-addled Hollywood celebrity and what atrocity she’s committed towards her children while our own children are parked out behind the closed-down Mega-mart doing their best to test out the springs of the latest pinnacle of Detroit engineering that makes a shoddy attempt at innovation by squeezing one more mile per gallon out of gasoline.

The first internal combustion engine was designed by Francois Issac de Rivaz of Switzerland in 1807. It is now 2008. How can any moderately sane person believe that in two hundred and one years of technological innovation we cannot design something better?

By the way…that same car that is parked behind the abandoned store was given to a spoiled rotten kid on his/her sixteenth birthday. They can’t even be bothered to get even a part time job to pay for his or her own car insurance! We let our children run rampant because we want them to like us, rather than acting as parents should and do what is best for them.

What has changed? Growing up, I did stupid things. I did things for which I should have done time. If I was caught, I was punished. I won’t lie to you. My parents beat the hell out of me growing up. It wasn’t until recently that I came to a realization. I deserved every single one. Now, I thank them for it. I am a better person for it.

Meanwhile, we sit at our kitchen table mulling over the latest stack of “0% APR! Low monthly payment!” offers wondering how we can afford to pay for the next toy that will sit parked out in the yard like a gleaming albatross ’round our necks so that the Joneses’ will envy us and say, “We wish we could be like *them!* We are too shallow to realize that Mr. and Mrs. Jones are sitting down and doing the same thing that we are doing; they wonder how *they* are going to pay for their next toy!

Let’s not mention that the banks that financed that new jet ski, swimming pool, or bass boat are making poor financial gambles in the name of earning more worthless fiat currency so that they can buy their own shiny toys so that *their* peers can envy *them.* If those gambles fail, no worries. They’ll just get the American taxpayer to bail them out, forcing the “cartel” known as the Federal Reserve to borrow *more* money to keep the economy afloat. Not only will they get more money, but when they step down they get a nice bonus for the “hardship” of having to quit their multi-million dollar per year job!

Every April 15th, hard-working Americans are robbed at gunpoint of up to half or more of their salaries, only to pay the interest on the money the Cartel has had to borrow to keep the farce going just a little while longer. HALF! One of the overwhelming reasons for the American Revolution was “no taxation without representation.” Well, guess what, America? We are no longer being represented! When such an overwhelming percentage of the population informs our government of our opinion and they ignore us, we are no longer being represented.

What is happening, and why is it happening? In case you have not yet realized, I will inform you. The answer to the $64,000 question is “power.” What do men and women that have more money than they could possibly ever spend desire? Power. They want more control. Lord Acton said in 1887 that, “Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men.” The powers that be in the upper echelons of American society are so utterly terrified that the possibility that they no longer will be able to assert their will upon those below them that they are willing to do anything to retain that power, including destroying the economy of an entire country.

Like all tyrants, the harder they clench their fists the more grains will slip through their fingers.

Forty-one men are spinning in their graves right now. They are: George Washington, John Langdon, Nicholas Gilman, Nathaniel Gorham, Rufus King, William Samuel Johnson, Roger Sherman, Alexander Hamilton, William Livingston, David Brearley, William Paterson, Jonathan Dayton, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Mifflin, Robert Morris, George Clymer, Thomas FitzSimons, Jared Ingersoll, James Wilson, Gouverneur Morris, George Read, Gunning Bedford Jr., John Dickinson, John Hancock, Richard Bassett, Jacob Broom, James McHenry, Dan of St. Thomas Jenifer, Daniel Carroll, John Blair, James Madison Jr., William Blount, Richard Dobbs Spaight, Hugh WIlliamson, John Rutledge, Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, Charles Pinckney, Pierce Butler, William Few, Abraham Baldwin, and William Jackson.

Do any of those names sound familiar? They should. They are the men who risked asset confiscation, prison, and execution to give you what you have thrown away! They are the men that added their signature of approval to the Constitution of the United States of America. My faith tells me that there is an afterlife, a Heaven and a Hell. I tremble in fear at the prospect that I have to face the disapproving gaze of those forty-one men and hang my head in shame for allowing their creation to become. They created a more perfect Union, and we have allowed it to fail. Through apathy, greed, and sloth, we have taken what was given to us on a silver platter and allowed to be corrupted so badly that it is no longer recognizable from the form that it once was.

It is time to do what they did. Throw the tea overboard! I am not advocating armed revolution. Such actions rarely end for the better; Coup de etat usually ends up having the inverse effect that the revolutionaries intend. Our own Revolution was the exception to the rule. It has been said that there are three “boxes” of society, the soap box, the ballot box, and the ammo box. It is not yet time to reach for the third box, America. I pray that it will never be. Americans, for all our pretend civility, are a brutal people. Such consequences would be so terrible that words cannot even begin to describe the horror that would result from that action. There is still time. Work from within.

We have a choice, America. Our government has become destructive of those Ends. We can go back to sleep like good little subjects or we can take a cue from the 1976 film Network. We can open our windows and scream to the heavens, “I’m mad as Hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!” We will *not* be ignored any longer. We will no longer have our intelligence insulted by doublespeak and false claims of reform.

I just hope that we, as Americans, can claw our way out of the chasm that they are digging for us and prove that we can overcome this stronger than ever before.

Divided We Fall?

America the Red and Blue.  Conservative and Liberal. Producer and Entitled.

Divided.

…Divided we fall. – from: Patrick Henry in his last public speech, given in March 1799, in which he denounced The Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions.

And here we are, sharply divided as a people.  We are teetering on a possible depression except this time we have huge debts and no real industrial assets as we did in the nineteen thirties.  During the great depression we started out without large debt until Roosevelt got the “Great Society” started, and we were able (eventually) to build our way out of the depression.  Of course by the time WWII was over and we were “back on track” we were no longer on a gold standard, our money was no longer controlled and minted by the congress – but the shady quasi-private-governmental “Federal Reserve”, and we were well on our way to massive deficits and growing dept.  At first we were able to handle it, and sometimes even balanced our governmental budget, our country was now a super-power and we were on our way of building our country.

But governmental systems and bureaucracies never die, no instead they continue to grow and spawn new systems and new bureaucracies.  And politicians discover that the more they take from those who produce to give to those who do not, the easier it is to get reelected.  And so we end up with two different peoples in our country: The producers who work hard and want to acquire the American Dream: those who create businesses with the hope of wealth and success, and the entitled: those who receive government handouts and feel that their need is a blank check entitling them to it.  The entitled class also include those who work in the ever growing governmental systems and whose vested interest is to never solve problems – because then they would be out of a job.

The entitled class is growing and the producer class is shrinking, but the division between them has never been as clear as it is today.

The question is: “Would Patrick Henry say that divided we fall to this current division?” I don’t think so because he would recognize that the producers are the only part of the equation that matters.

Because nobody is entitled to anything.  You earn your way, you work hard, you use your head – you help those in need as you are drawn to do so by your own values.  You keep what you make, you exchange your goods and services for those of others.  No, the producers need to stand united against the entitled.

Because in reality they are not entitled to anything.

Brown Market Basics – Part II

The American Greenback is worthless.  It has ability to buy only because of the belief that remains in the dollar – should consumer and foreign confidence in the dollar fail, then it will be worth the paper it is printed on and no more.

So enter the Brown Market. The brown market which I introduced in my first article here, is a market that works in spite of the government and the does not utilize it’s currency, but does not engage in the morally reprehensible actions that abrogate the rights of others to engage in commerce- that is theft, kidnapping, extortion, and other criminal activities.  I need to be careful here because the out of control rouge government declares many things as being “illegal” including Brown and Black markets, but when I say “criminal” I mean those things that specifically abrogate others natural rights.

I guess you might call a Brown Market a “good” Black Market.  The reason for it should be obvious: survival.  But why not thrive as well?  With the advent of today’s technology including the Internet and sophisticated cryptologic techniques it is fully possible to create currencies backed by gold or other precious metals and do business under the radar of the government approved economic system.

The biggest problem with the Brown Market is that it will come under fire by the government which will eventually declare war on it.  Regardless, when a government becomes socialistic it has already declared war on the producers and the best way to fight such a government is to starve it to death.  That is done by removing oneself from the economic system that feeds it.

Brown Market Basics – Part I

I have decided to write a set of fundamental principles on how to create, survive and thrive in what I call a Brown Market, or alternatively, the Slightly Underground Market.

First lets get two things out of the way:

  1. What differentiates a Brown Market from a Black Market?
  2. Why would a Brown Market be desirable?

1.) We need to first define a black market: (from Wise Geek here)

The black market is not a physical place, but rather an economic activity in which merchandise and/or services are bought and sold illegally. Also called the “underground market,” the black market gets its name due to the fact that its activity is conducted out of sight and often “in the dark,” outside the sight of law enforcement. The black market can be illustrated by something as innocent and innocuous as selling gum on the playground, or by something as serious as the sale of smuggled weapons or drugs.

Many factors can make a transaction illegal, thus qualifying it as a black market transaction. The good or service itself may be illegal, such as illicit drugs, weapons, or prostitution. One prime example of a black market created because of an illegal product was the result of prohibition. After alcohol was outlawed in the U.S. in 1919, it was smuggled into the country and sold at speakeasies and private bars. The result was an era of organized crime and an estimated 500 million US dollars (USD) in lost tax revenues annually.

An example of an illegal service sold on the black market is prostitution. Outlawing the prostitution of women and children throughout most of the world has created a huge illicit sex trade. Countries where this type of black market flourishes are a destination spot for those seeking to pursue this activity.

In other cases, goods may be stolen and then re-sold on the black market. When a good is euphemistically referred to as having “fallen off the back of a truck,” usually it means that it has been stolen for the purpose of being sold on the black market. If you are purchasing a new stereo, for example, from an individual at an extremely low price, there’s a good chance that it’s been stolen. Another way that a transaction can be illegal is if it is an otherwise legal good or service that is bought or sold in such a way as to avoid proper licensing or taxes. This is the case with unregistered firearms and cigarettes, which usually include a hefty local, state, or federal tax.

Due to man’s inherently entrepreneurial nature, coupled with government’s pesky tendency to regulate, black markets can and do exist everywhere. They do, however, tend to develop more readily in states or countries with especially heavy regulation. Even though a good or service becomes outlawed or heavily regulated, the market may continue to demand it. As a result, the black market springs up to meet the market’s demand. This is the case when governments place price controls, rationing or complete prohibition on a good or service.

A Brown Market is a substitute market that operates just under the currently “lawful” legal market that allows the participants to keep the produce of their labor, but does not engage in “naturally unlawful” or immoral markets.  It is not therefore a Black Market because as stated above, black markets engage in activities such as slavery, extortion, stolen property, and other thuggish activities that abrogate the rights of individuals.  A Brown Market seeks trade (and may engage in “socially reprehensible” trades such as prostitution and drugs, but without force, or theft).  A Brown market is one that engages in business and usually uses “other currencies” (more on that later) and may mix to some extent with the “legal” markets.

2.) A Brown Market provides a means for businessmen, Industrialists, and entrepreneurs to survive and thrive despite the socialistic and communistic practices of a government gone out of control with liberalism and socialism via regulation and theft.  Brown Markets are where capitalists must live when a government or nation has gone to socialism–capitalists should join a strike of the kind outlined in Atlas Shrugged in such a case, but they must still survive personally.

So what is needed is the knowledge on how to start and maintain a Brown Market in the United Sates based on the current socialist direction it is going in.  How can we as capitalists use our capital to bring down the socialist system? How do we then reinstate the Constitutionally protected, free-enterprise capitalist system, and remove and replace the current set of politicians and socialist supreme court judges, peacefully if possible, by force if necessary?

Government power is created by the theft of wealth from individuals on a massive scale.  If the individuals refuse to play this game on a large enough scale, then government will starve and collapse, however government will attempt to punish individuals to force them to comply as long as it can, so those individuals must go underground with all the implicit threats to their persons that entails.

In the Internet age the way to perform commerce that is under the radar and out of reach of government is to place capital in safe neutral places (such as Switzerland?) as gold, and then create an electronic currency backed by this gold. Untaxed and unfettered, this will allow business to thrive and at the same time starve socialist governments.

By themselves Socialistic and Communistic collapse in on themselves, but this take time and grinds up most of the populace, and corrupts the rest.  Waiting is not a solution, “peaceful dissension” does not work and will be crushed by the leaders of these corrupt governmental system.  Only by going underground and undermining the government by doing what our forefathers did will actually work.  This is the genius of men like Franklin, Hancock, Adams, Jefferson, Washington, Henry, etc. and the myriad of others that stood with them and came after them.  These men were real geniuses – committed to Liberty and to Godliness (in most cases) and real patriots should use the ideas and examples they outlined to destroy the sickness of liberalism we find in our country and world today.

What is money realy?

This is not Moiney...Gold is.

Capitalism is a force that no government can kill despite the onslaught against it by the socialists, communists, fascists, and all of the other nefarious liberal politico-economic systems that hate the free enterprise system.  Capitalism lives as long as there are men and woman who are free, at least in their minds if not their physical bodies, because it is part of what mankind is and does when it engages in a market.  Despite the controls that governments put on Capitalism, despite the use of force to oppose the free exchange of goods and services, the fact remains that human kind must exchange goods, service, and labor in order that survival continue.

It is the drive to survive that ensures that Capitalism cannot die.  Yes, like water that is constricted, Capitalism will seek its level – that is to say, when restrictions, and laws, and government regulation are imposed against Capitalism it simply changes its shape.

Capitalism in my definition is a market system that depends on a currency of exchange that holds value and is portable.  It is the perfection of the original “bartering system” where labor and goods were directly exchanged.  By having an exchange media, humans can truly market anywhere and at any time.

When the Free Market is curtailed, then Capitalism takes the form of the Black Market – the simple ignoring of law in order to carry on the exchange of goods, services, and labor in order to survive.  Most black markets are patchwork quilts of illegal activity, mixtures of gang and other violent market activities, and outright nose thumbing at government and law.  This is an unstable, unreliable, and usually self-destructive state that cannot be depended on, but exists because there is simply no other alternative.

There are, however, intelligent persons who can see further.  These people can, and have constructed markets that run under the “allowed” systems to avoid restrictive taxes, laws, and the like.  With today’s technology such networks of “intelligent black marketeers” will no doubt grow and thrive.

The true black market occurs when these individuals create a currency of exchange that is disentangled from the government and laws to which the market is rebelling against.  That would be the case of unregulated precious metals and stones being used as exchange media for a market that is unregulated and untaxed by government.

As governments steal the value of the currency from their citizens via inflation (such as the United States has been a is currently doing though its illegally created Federal Reserve System), or takes it outright by confiscatory taxes, men and women will either turn to government largess as welfare recipients, or will decide that they will fight the government by creating their own “economies” under the radar (ie: under the  “legal” economy).

I have been thinking that the advent of the internet and sophisticated ciphers and cryptographic systems that are practically unbreakable makes the idea of a precious metals based black market system viable.  This could be a system that runs as unopposed free market – a market where all goods and services imaginable are available, where break-ins by the government looters attempting to shut it down are detected and routed around almost instantaneously.  This market could grow in power to the point where the governments run scared from it, instead of the other way around.

Frankly the networked underground market may be the next big thing…
